2022 EDGA Events
Match Play Championship
The tournament is open to the first 100 paid golfers holding a regular golf membership in good standing in one of the member clubs of the EDGA or residents of the Greater Northwestern PA area.
Joseph C Martin Seniors Championship
The tournament is open to the first 100 paid male golfers holding a regular golf membership in good standing in one of the member clubs of the EDGA or meet the residency requirement who have reached their fiftieth (50) birthday by July 11th. You must have been born on or before July 11th, 1972 to participate in this event.
There will be a division for "Super Seniors" which are those players who have reached their 70th birthday by the date of this event. These players will play a more forward tee than the regular seniors and will have their own prize list and are also ineligible for the overall Gross and Net Championship. Those 70 or over may compete for the overall championship by playing the same tee as the Regular Seniors and their scores, although from a different tee, will be used in calculating Super Senior age group prizes.
EDGA Team Championships
The tournament is open to the first 72 paid team entries consisting of male golfers holding a regular golf membership in good standing in one of the member clubs of the EDGA or are residents of the Greater Northwestern PA area. For those participating in the Seniors event, each player must have reached their fiftieth (50) birthday by July 18, 2022.
There will be a division for "Super Seniors" which are those players (both players on the team) who have reached their 65th birthday by the date of this event. These players will play a more forward tee than the regular seniors and will have their own prize list and are also ineligible for the overall Gross and Net Championship. These teams may compete for the overall championship by playing the same tee as the Regular Seniors and their scores, although from a different tee, will be used in calculating Super Senior age group prizes.
Amateur Championship
The Amateur Championship sponsored by Marquette Savings Bank will be the final event of the season. The event is being conducted at Lawrence Park Country Club with the 54 holes of stroke play being conducted on Friday, August 12th through Sunday August 14th.
