On Saturday, September 27, Jon and Matt Arrigo delivered an outstanding performance to claim victory in Event #5 of the Labatt Blue Light Tournament Series, the Fall 2-Person Scramble at Downing Golf Course.
The duo fired a blistering gross score of 61, translating to a net score of 59.09, to separate themselves from the field and secure first place. Their mix of dialed in iron shots by Jon and one of the sharpest putting performances of the entire series by Matt, proved to be the difference in this event.
Finishing in second place were Guy Santone and Vince Timpano, who posted a 67 gross / 62.35 net, showing strong chemistry but ultimately falling short of the Arrigo's pace. Third place went to Nick Quinet and Jeremy Schulz, who carded a 68 gross / 63.9 net, rounding out a highly competitive leaderboard.
The victory not only highlighted the Arrigo's ability to go low in scramble play, but also served as the capstone to Jon’s stellar season, securing his overall Labatt Blue Light Tournament Series championship.
Event #5 had several other big winners on the day. During the Putting For Prizes, Stacey Ehrensberger won a brand new custom Labatt Golf Bag! Also a big winner was Dave Roach for nailing a long putt to win a VIZIO 43" Class Quantum Series QLED Smart TV!
